The Punjab government has sent a summary to the Chief Minister’s House for approval of Phase-II of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Honhaar Scholarship Programme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Under the programme, Rs33 billion will be allocated during the current financial year to provide scholarships to bright students from Punjab.
The initiative is designed to create opportunities for talented youth to study at some of the world’s top-ranked universities.
Through the second phase of the Honhaar Scholarship Program, selected students will be able to pursue higher education at international universities.
The Punjab government will cover all major educational expenses, including tuition fees, accommodation, travel costs, and other related expenses.
In addition to covering these costs, scholarship recipients will also receive a monthly stipend of Rs65,000 to Rs70,000 to support their educational journey.
The Honhaar Scholarship Program aims to provide talented young people with access to world-class education and help them achieve academic excellence.
The launch of Phase-II is expected to expand opportunities for more students to study at leading universities around the world.
