Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi visited the Higher Education Commission Secretariat in Islamabad on Tuesday and held a meeting with HEC Chairman Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar.
The two sides discussed measures to promote higher education and strengthen universities across Sindh.
They agreed to further enhance cooperation between the HEC and the provincial government to improve educational opportunities and build the capacity of higher education institutions.
The HEC chairman briefed the governor on measures being taken to improve the quality of higher education and expand access for students.
Hashmi appreciated the HEC’s role and efforts in promoting higher education across the country.
He reaffirmed the government’s support for initiatives aimed at increasing educational opportunities and strengthening the institutional capacity of universities in Sindh.
