The Punjab government on Thursday made a significant reshuffle in its administrative ranks, transferring and posting several senior officers across major departments.
According to an official notification, Auqaf Secretary Soqrat Aman Rana has been transferred and posted tourism secretary, while Ehsan Bhatta has been appointed the new Auqaf secretary.
In another key change, Sports Secretary Zafar Khan has been transferred, with Maaser Riaz Malik taking charge as the new sports secretary.
The government has also made fresh appointments in several other departments:
Captain (R) Tahir Zafar Abbasi has been appointed forests secretary
Rana Saleem Afzal has been named aquaculture and fisheries secretary
Faisal Farid has been appointed TEVTA COO
Shahzeb Hasnain has taken charge as additional secretary to Transport Department
Shafqatullah Mushtaq has been posted additional secretary, Service Matters, Chief Secretary's Office
Muhammad Usman Ashraf has been posted deputy secretary (staff), Chief Secretary Office
The reshuffle aims to strengthen administrative oversight and enhance performance across multiple departments as the provincial government moves into a new phase of governance and reform. Officials say the newly appointed officers are expected to bring renewed energy and expertise to their respective roles.
