Punjab Specialized Health Department is seeking suitable candidates to head newly-built hospitals as health departments faces shortage of competent officers, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Specialized Health Department has failed to find oncologist who could be appointed as the Dean of Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital.
The sources said no suitable doctor was found who can be appointed as the head of Jinnah Institute of Cardiology.
The head of Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology Sargodha has also not been finalized. The search for Murree Cardiac Institute head continued yet. The Specialized Health Department is busy hiring doctors on a daily basis instead of appointing heads of new treatment centers. Recruitment and procurement are ongoing in new treatment centers without a permanent head.
Moreover, new treatment centers are subject to likes and dislikes even before they become operational.
