Members of the British Communist Party staged a protest outside the United States Embassy in London, condemning what they described as a US attack on Venezuela and calling on the British government not to support Washington’s actions.
The demonstration drew party activists and supporters who gathered outside the embassy, chanting strong slogans against the alleged American military intervention.
Protesters accused the United States of violating international norms and warned that such actions could further destabilise the region.
Addressing the gathering, demonstrators urged the British government to adopt an independent foreign policy and refrain from backing the United States in any military action against Venezuela.
They stressed that Britain should stand for peace, sovereignty and respect for international law.
The protest remained peaceful, with participants continuing their chants and displaying placards criticising the US role in Venezuela, before dispersing later in the day.
