Female students at Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad observed strike for the second consecutive day on Sunday to protest inadequate security arrangements made by the university’s girls’ hostel’s management, which resulted in the entry of a youth in the hostel two days ago, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The girls went ahead with their protest despite the fact that the police later arrested the youth and registered a case against him.
Girls, who protested outside the Pindi Point gate last night, kept the point blocked on Sunday as well.
The protest disrupted the university’s transport system.
Girls said that the hostel’s administration, instead of improving security arrangements, irritated them on one pretext or the other.
