Air pollution levels in Lahore have risen sharply, pushing the city to third place on the list of the most polluted urban centers of the world, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
Recent readings show alarming pollution levels at various locations across the city: Allama Iqbal Town recorded 344, A Block Model Town 224, B Block Phase Five 208, and Bediya Road 194.
Other areas such as the Civil Secretariat and CERP registered 195 and 163, respectively.
Health and environmental experts emphasize that prolonged exposure to high levels of pollutants can cause serious respiratory and cardiovascular issues, urging citizens to limit outdoor activities and use protective masks, especially for vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.
