After receiving complaints, the Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection Team has removed the Principal and Medical Superintendent of Gujranwala Teaching Hospital from his post with immediate effect, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to details, the Chief Minister’s Inspector Team conducted an emergency visit to the hospital.
During the visit, patients submitted large number of complaints against doctors to the CM Inspection Team and also informed them about the unavailability of medicines.
The team, headed by Provincial Special Assistant to CM Shoaib Mirza, carried out an unannounced inspection of various departments of the hospital to assess administrative performance and patient care.
Taking serious notice of the complaints and observed shortcomings, the authorities decided to remove the newly appointed MS and Principal of Gujranwala Teaching Hospital with immediate effect.
Officials said the inspection was part of the Punjab government’s broader initiative to improve healthcare services and ensure accountability in public hospitals.
