Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar was over the moon on Monday as the economic indicators started to show healthy signs following signing of loan agreement by Pakistan with International Monetary Fund (IMF), reported 24NewsHD
In tweet uploaded on Monday, Ishaq Dar said pointed out massive surge in share prices and Pakistan Stock Exchange, healthy rise in value of Pakistani rupee against the US dollar and sharp decline in inflation.
The finance minister said there was a sharp plunge in the value of dollar in the open market.
He also mentioned the massive surge at stock exchange, saying PSE has recorded record 2,334 points rise by 1:00 pm.
Congratulating the nation, Ishaq Dar said the CPI inflation clocked in at 29.4 percent for June 2023 as compared to 38 percent on year-on-year basis for May 2023, according to the data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
