Katie Price is once again on the move after being told she must vacate her £5,000-a-month rental property, just one year after her high-profile eviction from her infamous "Mucky Mansion."
The 47-year-old former glamour model revealed on her podcast this week that her current landlord is putting the property up for sale, prompting her to begin a fresh house hunt. “I've got to move house as the guy who owns it wants to sell,” Katie said. “I might go closer to the kids’ school... I’m going to talk to the guy – he might let me stay a bit longer, but he might not.”
The Tudor-style four-bedroom home in rural Sussex had been a refuge for Katie following her eviction from the now-notorious Mucky Mansion, a £1.5 million property she bought in 2014 from Tory peer Francis Maude. After years of financial issues and a second bankruptcy in March 2024, Katie was forced out, and the mansion was eventually sold in December for a cut-price £1.15 million, significantly lower than its initial asking price.
Despite its high-profile history, the property listing made no mention of its former owner and noted potential concerns, including an empty pool and possible land contamination.
Katie had tried for years to refurbish and resell the mansion, even starring in a Channel 4 series documenting the process. However, she later declared the house “cursed,” stating: “I’ve had nothing but bad memories in that house.”
Now, history seems to be repeating itself. Although Katie has been paying close to £5,000 a month for her current rental, which includes a double garage and open-plan kitchen, she finds herself searching again, potentially relocating closer to her children's school for stability.
The property drama marks another chapter in the star’s ongoing financial challenges, with debts from her former home swallowing any proceeds from its eventual sale. While she continues to keep the public updated via her podcast, Katie’s housing situation highlights the ongoing instability in her post-Mucky.
