Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has forwarded the names of 11 senior lawyers to the Judicial Commission of Pakistan for consideration for 10 vacant judgeships at the Lahore High Court, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to sources, the nominees include Ghulam Sarwar Nahang, currently serving as Prosecutor General Islamabad, Syed Farhad Ali Shah, Prosecutor General Punjab, Amjad Pervaiz, Advocate General Punjab, and Asad Bajwa, Deputy Attorney General.
The remaining nominees are senior advocates Munawar Dogal, Shireen Imran, Muhammad Ajmal, Kashif Rajwana, Usman Ghani Rashid, Ameer Ajam, and Khalid Bin Aziz.
The Judicial Commission had asked its members to submit nominations by July 4 as part of the process to fill the vacant positions.
The commission will now consider the recommended names before making its final decisions on the appointments.
