A boy lost his life after falling from a Ferris Wheel (sky swing) at a village fair in the Tapiala Dost Mohammad area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station, Muridke, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to Rescue officials, the child, identified as Arham, aged 8, son of Majeed, was critically injured in the accident and was immediately shifted to the THQ Hospital for treatment.
Hospital sources said the boy succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.
His body was handed over to the family after the completion of the required legal formalities.
Police said an investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
