Pakistani security forces eliminated 14 terrorists linked to an Indian-backed proxy network in an intelligence-based counterterrorism operation (IBO) conducted on June 2 and 3 in North Waziristan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 14 terrorists were killed during a high-stakes operation in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan.
The operation targeted the presence of militants associated with the Indian-sponsored group “Fitna-tul-Khawarij”.
In a fierce exchange of fire, all 14 operatives, reported to be actively pursuing an Indian agenda, were neutralised by security forces.
The ISPR confirmed that the terrorists' hideout was effectively destroyed, and a clearance operation is ongoing to root out any remaining elements of the group in the area till filing this report.
“Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in dismantling Indian-backed terrorism on our soil,” the military’s media wing stated.
Yesterday, Pakistani security forces also eliminated seven terrorists associated with the Indian proxy network “Fitna-tul-Hindustan” in two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), five terrorists were killed in a meticulously planned operation in Machh, while two others were neutralised in a similar operation in Kalat.
The ISPR revealed that all the slain terrorists were part of “Fitna-tul-Hindustan,” an Indian-backed network involved in numerous sabotage and subversive activities within Pakistan.
These operatives were reportedly responsible for planning and executing attacks aimed at destabilising the region, the ISPR said.
Security forces also recovered a cache of arms and explosive materials from the hideouts of the terrorists, preventing future potential threats.
