The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) is scheduled to meet on Friday under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb to consider a series of supplementary grants and funding requests for various government departments and institutions.
According to the agenda, the ECC will review and approve supplementary grants for several organisations, including a grant of Rs528 million for the Pakistan Land Port Authority.
The committee is also expected to consider a package for financial assistance to the families of those martyred in the Tarlai bomb blast.
A summary regarding the revision of the current fiscal year's development budget will also be placed before the committee for consideration.
The agenda includes a proposal to provide Rs150 million to the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
The ECC will further consider a summary seeking Rs413.9 million for the Frontier Corps (FC) to meet security-related expenditures associated with the Reko Diq project.
A proposal to allocate Rs3 billion to Pakistan Television (PTV) is also on the agenda.
In addition, the committee will take up a summary regarding the provision of funds to the Special Communications Organisation (SCO).
A proposal seeking Rs120 million for the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs will also be discussed.
The ECC is further expected to consider a summary for the allocation of Rs1.3 billion to the Pakistan Mint.
Decisions on the various funding requests are expected after deliberations during the meeting.
