Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has issued a traffic advisory ahead of recruitment tests for the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which are scheduled to be held at the Pakistan Sports Complex on Friday.

According to the advisory, a large number of candidates are expected to arrive at the venue for the recruitment examinations, prompting authorities to implement special traffic arrangements to ensure smooth flow of vehicles in the capital.

The ITP announced that Srinagar Highway will remain partially closed from 3pm on Thursday until 12 noon on Friday.

Traffic movement on Srinagar Highway between Serena Chowk and Chand Tara Chowk will be restricted during the period.

According to the traffic plan, vehicles travelling from Bhara Kahu and Kashmir Chowk towards Srinagar Highway will be diverted through Suhrawardy Road.

Motorists travelling from Islamabad towards Bhara Kahu will be able to use the Expressway through Murree Road, Club Road and Kashmir Chowk.

Traffic moving from Srinagar Highway towards Aabpara and the Red Zone has been advised to use Seventh Avenue and Jinnah Avenue.

Citizens travelling to the Red Zone from the Expressway can access the area through Murree Road via Serena Chowk.

The traffic police have also advised candidates appearing in the FIA recruitment tests to park their vehicles at the Motorcycle Rose and Jasmine Garden parking area.

Authorities urged commuters to follow the traffic diversion plan and cooperate with traffic officials to avoid inconvenience during the recruitment exercise.
