Indian actress Mahira Sharma appeared at an interview with Indian media and has finally addressed the dating rumors with cricketer Mohammed Siraj that were in the news for a few days now.
The news was circulating on social media that she was ‘romantically involved’ with fast bowler Mohammed Siraj.
The host asked her about the matter, and she denied it, saying, “There is nothing between us. I’m not dating anyone.”
Further speaking about the link-up, Sharma explained, “Fans can connect you with anyone. We can’t stop them. When I work, I am linked to them (co-stars), too. They make edits and all.”
“But I don’t give much importance to all this. If you like this, do it, but there is nothing like this,” she maintained.
Here is when the speculations started
Mahira and Siraj’s rumoured relationship speculations surfaced last month when ETimes reported that the duo was seen getting close to each other, but the two did not disclose anything.
After that, Siraj liked one of Mahira’s Instagram posts, and they started following each other on social media. This added more salt to it.
However, Mahira’s mother, Sania Sharma, was quick to dismiss the claims in a statement to Times Now. She firmly refuted the reports, saying, "What are you saying? People say anything. Now that my daughter is a celebrity, people will link her name with anyone, so should we believe them?"
In case viewers are not aware, Mahira Sharma was previously in a relationship with ‘Bigg Boss 13’ co-contestant Paras Chhabra until the two parted ways in 2023.
Mahira Sharma began her acting journey with a brief role in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' and later featured in popular television shows such as 'Naagin 3', 'Kundali Bhagya', and 'Bepanah Pyaar'.
However, she rose to prominence after participating in Bigg Boss 13, where she became a well-known name among audiences.
