Three dacoits who were involved in more than 50 criminal cases surrendered themselves before the police in Khairpur during the ongoing Nijat Mehran Operation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to details, these dacoits became a symbol of terror in the jurisdiction of Sub Division Kot Digi.
The dacoits were identified as Ghazi Khan Marri, Yaseen Ahmad Narejo, and Hanif alias Hanfu Gopang.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr. Samiullah Soomro said that these dacoits were involved in criminal cases, which include dacoity, extortion, and police encounters.
The surrendering dacoits, repenting of the world of crime, also sent a message to their other associates to surrender.
The SSP said that Operation Nijat Mehran will continue in the Kutcha area until complete peace is achieved.
Earlier on Tuesday, seven more gangsters surrendered to police and Rangers during the ongoing Najat-e-Mehran operation in the Ronthi Kacha area of Obaadu.
The joint crackdown has intensified in recent days, compelling more criminals to lay down arms.
Those surrendering included Asghar Shar, commander Rahib Shar, who had also surrendered, highlighting the growing success of the operation.
The police-Rangers joint operation continues, with law enforcement authorities conducting searches to apprehend remaining criminals and restore security in the riverine areas of Obaadu.
