Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi is set to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow on an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation in key areas of mutual interest, the Foreign Office confirmed on Wednesday.

According to the spokesperson, the visit underscores the longstanding and deep-rooted relationship between Pakistan and Iran, which is anchored in shared history, cultural ties, and religious affinity.

During his stay, the Iranian Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet with top Pakistani leadership, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

“The visit is expected to further promote cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields, including political, economic, and regional matters,” the spokesperson stated.

In addition to advancing bilateral cooperation, both sides are expected to deliberate on regional developments and global issues of shared concern.

The Foreign Office expressed confidence that the high-level engagement would pave the way for closer collaboration and deepen mutual understanding between Tehran and Islamabad at a time when regional connectivity and cooperation are gaining increasing importance.
