National team player and Multan Sultans' batter Tayyab Tahir has asserted that the team does not rely on individual brilliance but rather thrives on a collective strategy and strong team combination.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Tahir said that his team is prepared for the final stretch of the tournament.
“It’s not essential for the team to reach the final every season, but our aim remains to win the last two matches,” said Tahir.
He stressed that the Sultans do not depend on any single player, highlighting that game strategies are formed by analyzing the overall team composition.
He praised team owner Ali Tareen for never singling out any player for criticism and noted that players are usually the most disappointed after a loss themselves.
Tahir said that shortcomings appear more visible when the team as a whole underperforms.
He also acknowledged the current strong momentum of Islamabad United, commending their impressive form.
Discussing his preparation, Tahir shared, “I walk into every match with the mindset that I must perform well today, and such thinking often leads to better outcomes.”
He affirmed that regardless of the opponent, Multan Sultans are determined to bring their best to the field in every game.
