Amid regional tension, PM Shehbaz Sharif's visit to Malaysia has been postponed, diplomatic sources said on Sunday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was scheduled to leave for a two-day visit to Malaysia next week. The Prime Minister was also to be accompanied by a high-level delegation.
On Sunday a telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
During the call, the Prime Minister apologized for not visiting Malaysia next week. The Prime Minister briefed the Malaysian counterpart on the situation in the region. The Prime Minister expressed his determination to visit Malaysia this year.
