Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Balochistan President Dawood Shah Kakar sustained serious injuries in a road accident while travelling to Zhob, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to sources, the accident occurred en route to Zhob when Kakar's vehicle met with a crash.
Alongside the provincial president, several other PTI workers were also injured. All the injured individuals were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Dawood Kakar, a prominent youth leader of PTI from Quetta, rose through the party ranks as a dedicated member of the PTI Youth Wing.
He was appointed Central Deputy General Secretary of the youth wing in both 2020 and 2022.
In the 2024 PTI intra-party elections, Kakar won the position of Provincial President by securing 445 votes—just 10 more than his rival—earning the formal approval of party founder Imran Khan.
He also contested from PB-40 Quetta-III in the 2024 Balochistan provincial elections.
Known for his vocal stance on human rights and freedom of expression, Dawood Kakar has long supported the rights of the Baloch people and adhered to Chairman Imran Khan's vision of a just and united Pakistan.
