Police on Sunday recovered the body of a young woman with her throat slit in the city’s Kotwali area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to initial police reports, 23-year-old Aasia Bibi was allegedly murdered by her in-laws.
She had been married to Mohammad Rafiq just six months ago.
Police arrested her husband and brother-in-law in connection with her brutal killing. The body of Aasia Bibi was shifted to Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for autopsy.
Further investigations into the tragic incident are underway to determine the full motive and circumstances behind the murder.
