The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore has increased the number of attempts to pass intermediate examinations from four to six, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
The decision, approved by the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen and the board’s governing body, will apply to candidates from the 2022–2024 academic session onwards.
Under the revised policy, eligible students can now appear in intermediate examinations up to six times.
The authorities have also extended the deadline for submission of admission forms for candidates seeking to avail additional attempts.
Students intending to benefit from the extra chances can submit their forms with a single fee until May 11.
