According to details, the water crisis created a panic-like situation in the port city, and an emergency meeting was held after water theft from a pipeline in Shadi Kaur and the non-operation of the Gwadar Desalination Plant.

During the meeting, it was decided that 24 lakh gallons of water will be supplied to Gwadar and 5 lakh tons to Jeewani on a daily basis.

The participants of the meeting also decided to increase flow of water from Shadi Kaur pipeline and restore the Gwadar Desalination Plant.

The Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, also directed the transfer of water from Meerani Dam through a brouser.

The Shadi Kaur pipeline is supplying 12 lakh gallons of water, and the Desalination plant also became operational.

The measures adopted by the Pakistan Army and the district administration will fulfill the demand for water.

Water experts said that these kinds of incidents occurred due to climate change.

Water experts suggested that new dams should be constructed without delay.
