The federal government issued a notification for the implementation of the Contributory Pension Scheme for its employees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to the notification, the federal government employees will deposit 10 percent of their salary, and the government will contribute 12 percent.
The notification further stated that these government employees will not be eligible to withdraw the amount from their pension account.
The employees can withdraw 25 percent of their amount after their retirement.
The scheme will not be implemented for present government employees.
The scheme will be implemented for all employees appointed after July 2024.
The armed forces personnel will benefit from the scheme from July 1, 2025.
