On the instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the work on the construction of the pending new block of Parliament Lodges has been accelerated, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The construction of the new block of Parliament Lodges has been pending for the last 13 years.
Mohsin Naqvi visited the new under-construction block of Parliament Lodges on Saturday and inspected the construction work, directing to complete the new block in four months.
He said that funds have been approved for the construction of the new block of Parliament Lodges. Mohsin Naqvi said the construction work will be completed on an emergency basis.
He said with the completion of the new block, all parliamentarians will be provided with accommodation.
Mohsin Naqvi, accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, visited the site and issued directives to accelerate construction work.
The minister emphasized that the completion of the block of Parliament Lodges is significant for providing accommodation facilities to all parliamentarians.
The Interior Minister was briefed that the new block of Parliament Lodges will have over 100 units.
