Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has claimed that culture of political appointments, nepotism have been completely eliminated in the province, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Addressing the participants and faculty members of National Security and War Course, CM Maryam said now in Punjab, appointments were being made on 100 percent merit after interview and there was zero tolerance over corruption, there is no forgiveness if corruption comes to light.
Maryam Nawaz said that it was the people's money, it should be spent on the people. The contracts are also awarded purely on merit and transparency through e-tendering. She said that it is a great success that there is no accusation of corruption against the government.
CM Maryam said that the spirit of goodwill is the basic principle of good governance, as every decision of the ruler has an impact on the lives of the people. According to her, a country that is economically and defensively strong in the world is looked upon with respect.
The Chief Minister said that she is not against local government and believe in the transfer of powers. She said that all provinces generate their own resources and also claimed that Punjab's revenue is one trillion rupees. She also showed pleasure to share projects with other provinces. According to her, they are always ready to cooperate with every province for public welfare projects. CM Maryam said that canal reforms should not be made a political issue, as her government is responsible for the affairs of Punjab and will fight for it and said that her stance on the issue of Punjab's rights is clear.
CM Maryam Nawaz mentioned that Clean Punjab is the world's largest waste management program. She said that thermal imaging drone was successfully used to identify flood victims, as flood victims were successfully evacuated using drones.
Talking about projects, Maryam said that Punjab's agriculture is being taken on the path of mechanization for the first time. Moreover, the health centers of Punjab can now be compared to the standards of any European clinic.
CM Maryam Nawaz congratulated Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force on the success of Operation Banyan ul Marsoos and also pays tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir and other military leaders. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif briefed the delegation of the National Security and War Course about the innovative and historic project of the Punjab government. Bangladesh delegate also appreciated the public services of CM Punjab.
The participating delegation appreciated the projects including CCD, Anti-Narcotics, Green Initiative, Social Protection projects. The National Security War Course delegation includes Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force and civil officers, delegation participants also include 47 participants from 26 countries.
