Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Lahore Tuesday afternoon a day ahead of the Punjab Assembly session in which new leader of the house will be elected, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Outgoing chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and chief minister-designate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi were present at the Governor’s House to welcome the prime minister.
A meeting under chair of the prime minister will be held at the Governor’s House in which the prevailing political situation will be discussed.
Newly-appointed Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema will also attend the meeting.
The meeting will focus on tomorrow’s Punjab Assembly session in which new leader of the house will be elected.
