Sindh Strikers finished top of the standings with seven gold medals at the National Boxing Championship, which concluded at the Hyderabad Club on Sunday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
The championship, organised under the auspices of the Pakistan Army at Hyderabad Club, featured 210 boxers from 10 teams in what officials described as a key platform for identifying and developing talent for future international events.
Sindh Strikers secured first place with a dominant medal haul, while Punjab Thunders finished second and Balochistan Eagles claimed third place in the national competition.
In the individual honours, KP Titans’ Zamir Ali was named the championship’s best male boxer, while Sindh Strikers’ Ayesha was declared the best female boxer after standout performances.
Medals and trophies were distributed among the winning boxers during the closing ceremony, bringing the curtain down on a tournament that showcased a pool of emerging talent from across the country.
Pakistan Boxing Federation President Nasir Ijaz said the championship was aimed at discovering new talent and preparing promising boxers for upcoming international assignments.
