Good news for consumers as there are chances of a further 77 paisa per unit decrease in electricity prices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The relief will be given to consumers in the fourth quarterly and fuel price adjustment.
The power distribution companies (Discos) had filed a petition in the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA). The latter heard the petition yesterday, on August 4 (Monday).
On behalf of the Discos, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had filed a petition in the NEPRA on July 16, 2025 for relief under the fuel price adjustment for the month of June 2025.
The Authority heard the petition on July 3, 2025.
