A container got stuck under a bridge in Islamabad, resulting in the disruption of traffic in the federal capital on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the incident took place at Seventh Avenue in Islamabad where a loaded container was going to G-6 sector.

Despite ban on entry of heavy traffic in Islamabad how a loaded container entered the capital was a question for the authorities to answer?

Earlier on August 1, 2025, the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has banned the entry of heavy vehicles, overloaded trucks, and loader rickshaws into the city.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider announced that the step aims to ease traffic congestion and prevent fatal accidents caused by such vehicles.

Additional traffic personnel have been stationed across key roads and intersections to enforce the ban. Strict action will be taken against violators, including impoundment of vehicles and legal proceedings.

The CTO said the ITP has adopted a zero-tolerance policy against all traffic violations. This includes over -speeding, signal-breaking, lane violations, and illegal parking.

Offenders will be fined, and in serious cases, their vehicles may be seized and taken to police stations.
