The Afghan interim government Monday held a special reception to welcome a 16-member team of Pakistani motorcycle tourists who recently arrived in Afghanistan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
According to Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Interior, the ceremony, organized in honor of the visiting tourists, was attended by senior Afghan officials, including Afghanistan Olympic Committee chairman Maulvi Hamdullah Wasiq, who formally greeted the visitors.
The event was described as a gesture of goodwill and a means of cross-border cultural engagement.
The Pakistani tourists, who arrived in Afghanistan riding motorcycles, expressed their joy and appreciation upon entering the country.
They thanked the Afghan people for their warm hospitality and the official welcome arranged in their honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani highlighted the significance of such exchanges in strengthening people-to-people ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He stated that the motorcyclists' journey not only promotes tourism but also reflects a message of peace and brotherhood.
