The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will take up the case of stripping PTI Chairman Imran Khan off his party chairmanship on Tuesday (tomorrow), the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
A five-member bench, headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja, will hear the case.
Khalid Mehmood Khan, a citizen, who had filed a petition in the election commission, had argued that since Imran was now a convict in the Toshakhana reference; therefore, he be removed from the post of the party chairman.
PTI chairman’s lawyers, on the occasion had sought further time to submit their replies to the bench.
They contended that the petitioner did not provide them the copy of complaint.
