The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan saw a $620 million increase in the last one week.
A $500 million loan given by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to Pakistan has also been added to the foreign exchange reserves of Pakistan. Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves now stand at $12.3 billion, highest level since March 2022.
However, the reserves held by Pakistan’s commercial banks went down by $77 million in the last one week. These reserves now stand at $4.58 billion.
Overall, Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have gone up by $544 million. Now Pakistan's overall foreign reserves have swelled to $16.62 billion, highest since April 2022.
