Celebrated Pakistani actress Sonya Hussyn responded to a social user who compared her with Bollywood icon Sridevi.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Sonya Hussyn shared her heartfelt admiration for Bollywood legend Sridevi when the user said to her, "Mam apko dekh kr legend Sridevi mam ki yad ati" (One remembers Sridevi when looking at you).
Responding to the comment Sonya said, "We can never compete with her legacy. She was one of a kind, truly an iconic actress, but I am so grateful and humbled.”
Sonya shared her pictures in a blue saree from Haveli Barood Khana.
Sharing the snaps she captioned, "Inn jhukti palkon ke siva dil ka thikana aur nahin."
In a previous interview, Sonya revealed that she had been offered a film alongside Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, but the project fell through due to strained relations between India and Pakistan following the Uri attack.
She also disclosed that she was approached for two other Indian films, including an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure and a sequel to a classic Bollywood film.
The 'Tich Button' star further shared her thoughts on her ideal co-star, naming Ali Zafar as her top choice for a future project.
On her perspective about relationships, Sonya expressed her preference for not marrying an actor, stating, “Actors are self-obsessed. I think self-obsession should only be in one of us. When you’re so into yourself, you can’t pay attention to the other person.”
