Police have arrested two suspects, including the husband, in the murder of newlywed bride Shahida Jakhro, whose killing was allegedly carried out in Balochistan, reported 24News HD TV channel.
According to police, the investigation revealed that Muhammaduddin Jakhro, along with the bride’s maternal uncle Nazir Jakhro, was involved in Shahida’s murder. Both were taken into custody during a police operation.
A case was registered on the complaint of the victim’s sister, Rukhsana Jakhro, who alleged that Shahida was killed and buried in Ghulam Nabi graveyard in the Bhag Nari area of Balochistan without ghusl or shroud.
Acting on Rukhsana’s request, the Judicial Magistrate Jacobabad ordered the exhumation of Shahida’s grave. The court has directed that the exhumation process be carried out on December 10.
