Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has predicted light rain and snowfall in hilly areas of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The PDMA Director-General Irfan Ali Kathia said that Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Layyah, Kot Addu, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Khanpur will remain in the grip of dense fog and smog.
The DG said that Murree, Galiyat, and other hilly stations will also receive snowfall. He said that the light rain will decrease the smog percentage in the city.
Irfan Ali Kathia advised people to use masks and avoid coming outside unnecessarily. He said PDMA is monitoring the situation 24/7.
He advised drivers to use fog lights while travelling or they can call on Helpline 1129 for any guidance.
