Regretting that millions of Kashmiris had been martyred by the Indian forces in the occupied Kashmir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Sunday that this reign of terror would not continue for long, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, he said that despite the fact that India had turned the occupied territory into the world’s largest dungeon, still people of the held valley would win their freedom. “The sacrifices of the people of Kashmir will not go in vain,” the premier said, adding that India was perturbed over the fact that when it came to Kashmir, the entire Pakistani nation was united.

The prime minister said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had called Kashmir ‘jugular vein of Pakistan.”

He further said that Pakistan was a nuclear power, and no country in the world could dare cast an evil eye on the nation.

PM Shehbaz said that the only fault of Kashmiris was they were Muslims. “Similarly, Palestinians are being subjected to brutalities,” he said.

He went on to say that Pakistan had always raised its voice for the people of the held valley.

The prime minister was of the view that if Pakistan is to win its battle for Kashmir on the diplomatic front, there should be political and economic stability in the country. “If the Kashmir issue is to be resolved, we need to take practical steps, and should not restrict ourselves to mere talk,” he stressed.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said it was heartening to note that Kashmiris from different political parties had got united to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day (February 5).

Addressing a function held in Muzaffarabad to mark the occasion, the prime minister said that each and every Pakistani stood by Kashmiri brethren.

He went on to say that despite the fact that India had been committing atrocities against the people of occupied Kashmir for the last seven decades, it had failed to silence them.

He said the country could get rid of its all problems only if Pakistanis showed unity.

PM Shehbaz vowed to support people of the held valley until and unless they won their freedom.
