In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that Pakistan’s matches in the T20 World Cup 2026 will be broadcast with Urdu commentary.
According to details, all Pakistan matches during the tournament will be shown live with Urdu commentary, providing local cricket fans access to coverage in the national language for the first time at an ICC global event.
In Pakistan, the broadcast will be delivered by PTV and Myco, with digital coverage supported by Tamasha, ARY Zapp and Tapmad. The ICC will also produce a dedicated Urdu commentary feed for Pakistan matches, which will be aired on PTV Home for television viewers and streamed by the digital partners.
PTV Sports, Myco, Tapmad, Tamasha and ARY Zapp will be among the platforms offering the Urdu commentary option.
The move is aimed at expanding audience engagement and making ICC events more accessible to cricket fans across Pakistan.
