Cold and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country tonight, especially Punjab where three-day Basant Festival is currently under way, while hilly areas are likely to experience very cold conditions.

Punjab is expected to remain cold and dry in most districts. However, Murree, Galiyat and surrounding areas may witness cold, partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain and snowfall accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers. Light to moderate fog is also expected during early morning hours in Sheikhupura, Narowal, Sialkot and nearby areas.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are expected to remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with chances of light rain and light snowfall at a few places in northern Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Friday’s Forecast

In Islamabad and its surroundings, cold weather is expected, with a possibility of light rain accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers in the afternoon.

Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are likely to experience cold and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions. Light rain and snowfall are expected at a few locations including Chitral, Dir, Abbottabad, Haripur, Battagram, Shangla, Swat, Kalam, Orakzai, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Parachinar and Kohistan.

In Balochistan, weather in most districts will be cold, while northern districts may remain partly cloudy. Light rain and snowfall are likely in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Zhob, Qila Abdullah and Qila Saifullah during the morning hours.

Sindh is expected to remain dry across most districts, with cold conditions during the morning.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will experience cold and partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, light snowfall and thundershowers.
