Pakistan Customs has foiled a major drug smuggling attempt at Karachi Airport, recovering marijuana worth approximately Rs42 million, officials confirmed.
According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), customs authorities at the Immediate Clearance Group (ICG) of Pakistan Customs at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, Karachi, intercepted a parcel arriving from the United States, containing nearly 2.26 kilograms of hashish.
Authorities said that the timely action prevented the drugs from entering the local market.
The FBR emphasized that it will continue to take effective measures against smuggling.
