The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle on Monday registered a case against two people, including Najaf Hameed, the brother of former spymaster Faiz Hameed, after a fraud was detected in the land record of Islamabad’s Patwar Circle, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The other person nominated in the FIR was a revenue officer.
As per the FIR registered under sections 109, 409, 420, 468 and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), fake registries and incomplete transfers of land were made in 2009 and 2010.
It was further stated that the suspects, instead of transferring one kanal, transferred just 10 marlas of land and that they tampered with the official record.
According to the FIA officials, the investigation has begun.
