A 60-year-old man was allegedly killed by a police officer in the Harbanspura area of Lahore following an altercation, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.
According to initial police reports, the deceased, identified as Mansab, got into a dispute with ASI Aftab over parking a motorcycle.
The verbal exchange quickly escalated into a physical altercation.
During the scuffle, Mansab reportedly sustained severe injuries, allegedly due to violence inflicted by the officer and a fall from an upper floor of the building.
He succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
Both the deceased and ASI Aftab were reportedly residing as tenants in the same house, police confirmed. ASI Aftab is currently posted in Qurban Lines, Lahore.
ASI Aftab has been arrested following the incident and the police have started investigation.
The body of the deceased was shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
