Sindh Police have recovered imported fabric worth Rs700 million from Sukkur after a trailer transporting the consignment from Karachi to Lahore was hijacked near Babarlo area in Khairpur.
SSP Ameer Saud Magsi told media that five armed suspects intercepted the trailer, took control of the vehicle, removed and discarded its tracking device, and shifted the cargo before fleeing. The empty trailer was later abandoned in Shikarpur district. Police recovered the stolen consignment during operation. Preliminary investigations revealed the alleged involvement of two Sukkur-based traders, the trailer driver, and two employees of a private transport company.
