Paulo Gabriel de Silva Barros and Katyucia Lie Hoshino, a couple from Brazil's Itapuá region, have been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world's shortest married couple.
The couple recently offered a glimpse inside their specially designed home during a Brazilian television show, revealing how every aspect of the house has been tailored to suit their height and make daily life easier.
Forty-year-old Paulo Gabriel and 36-year-old Katyucia have a combined height of just 71.42 inches, prompting them to create a home where comfort and accessibility come first.
Their residence features low-positioned door handles and light switches, while the kitchen counters, cabinets, and sink have all been customized according to their height. Paulo Gabriel explained that the sink has been installed at the perfect level, allowing him to wash dishes comfortably without any difficulty.
The home also includes lightweight plastic stools to help the couple reach higher places when needed, and all the furniture has been specially designed to fit their requirements.
Katyucia described the house as a place where they feel completely at ease.
"When we go outside, we have to adapt to the world," she said. "But our home is our safe haven."
The couple's love story began nearly two decades ago after they met online. A year later, they took part in a photo shoot together, and their relationship blossomed over the years before they tied the knot in London in 2016.
Their inspiring journey and thoughtfully designed home have drawn global attention, with Guinness World Records recognizing them as the world's shortest married couple.
