With the federal budget for 2025–26 just days away, the Ministry of Finance has cancelled Eid holidays for key personnel involved in the final stages of budget preparation.
According to an official statement, employees directly working on the upcoming budget have been instructed to remain on duty on June 6, 8, and 9 — days that would otherwise fall within the Eid-ul-Azha break.
The Ministry further directed all other staff to remain available over the phone during the holiday period to ensure uninterrupted coordination.
The federal budget is scheduled to be presented in the National Assembly on June 10, with a post-budget press conference to follow on June 11.
