Disillusioned from all sides, Imran Khan true to his nature took a U-turn in a statement issued from jail and lied yet again. He claimed that when he removed General Asim Munir from the post of DG ISI, Munir contacted Bushra Pinky for his reinstatement, to which she replied that she was an apolitical woman and could do nothing in this matter. Until now, Imran Khan had repeatedly stated that he had no role in General Asim Munir’s transfer. Interestingly, the PTI founder did not provide any reason for this decision.
It has been reported hundreds of times that Imran Khan had General Asim Munir removed on General Bajwa’s advice after evidence of Pinky Pirni’s corruption was presented. Asim Munir had been heading the ISI for only eight months at the time. Imran Khan’s revised stance is absurd because General Asim Munir was not just removed from his post but was made Corps Commander Gujranwala, while General Faiz Hameed was appointed DG ISI. Both these transfers were done by General Bajwa at Imran Khan’s behest. In the military, once such transfers are made, the chances of returning to previous positions are almost nil.
The manner in which General Asim Munir was removed under Imran’s pressure or affection went against military traditions and created a poor impression. General Bajwa, as Army Chief, had already shown weakness years earlier when he transferred a local military commander after a sectarian group’s demand following a terrorist attack in Parachinar, something unheard of before.
A new revelation has now emerged: General Qamar Javed Bajwa was the first to bring the then-Prime Minister’s attention to the First Lady’s corruption. He presented a file containing details of corruption, but Imran Khan rejected it, saying, “Bushra Bibi is my red line." When Bajwa told Imran that Bushra Bibi had corrupt links with Farah Gogi, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, and others, Imran again refused to discuss her. Later, then-DG ISI General Asim Munir attempted to brief the Prime Minister on these allegations. Imran Khan became so furious that he called General Bajwa and demanded Munir’s removal within 24 hours.
Sources say Bajwa tried to calm Imran down, but he remained adamant. Imran proposed General Faiz Hameed as the new ISI chief, even though his name was not on the recommended panel. Bajwa eventually relented but suggested that, as a goodwill gesture, General Asim Munir should be invited for tea before his departure. Imran refused.
As for Imran Khan and Bushra Pinky’s relationship, it was first exposed to the public by TikToker Qandeel Baloch, who was later murdered. When Ayesha Gulalai’s scandal of inappropriate messages surfaced, Imran panicked, fearing even the military and judiciary couldn’t save him. At that point, Pinky Pirni allegedly "spiritually intervened" (or used "magic") to rescue him in Pakpattan, after which a superstitious Imran Khan became entirely devoted to her.
Farah Gogi was the ruling couple’s frontwoman, amassing vast wealth and gaining access to the highest circles’ officers, judges, politicians, and businessmen sought her help for favours. When Imran and Pinky realized PTI’s government was untenable, they arranged Gogi’s escape from Pakistan via a private jet. Gogi was not just Imran and Pinky’s confidante but also involved in all major scams during PTI’s rule. Many powerful figures were complicit, which is why no serious effort has been made to extradite her.
Now, with Imran and Pirni in jail, the supports they relied on are crumbling one by one. In desperation, they’ve even sought help from Maiheng Baloch. A PTI donor and businessperson who came from the US admitted that despite all facilities, the PTI founder is fed up in jail, but the establishment is unwilling to lift restrictions. This echoes statements by Azam Swati and Aleema Khan, who spoke of reconciliation on a "give-and-take" basis.
The donor also revealed that some PTI leaders, especially YouTubers abroad, don’t want Imran released as his imprisonment guarantees their politics and dollar-driven agenda. After the recent Pak-India conflict, PTI has become irrelevant even for a civilian government. In PM Shehbaz Sharif’s hours-long meeting with journalists, Imran was mentioned only incidentally for two and a half minutes.
Imran’s devotee, Maulana Tariq Jameel, is also losing influence. When he tried to speak at a Tablighi Jamaat gathering in Mansehra, organizers blocked him due to his political leanings. Contrary to popular belief, Maulana Tariq Jameel is not a scholar but a storyteller and charismatic orator unaware of historical facts yet influential. Gogi and others like her were part of his circle.
Enraged after being stopped, Maulana erupted:
“You fools! You understand neither religion, nor the Quran, nor the Prophet’s life. You’re morally corrupt! Your malice has reopened my wounds. You have no shame, no decency, no insight. Wretches! Don’t you know I belong to a noble family? Allah honoured me, made me a means to spread Dawah across six continents. Beyond Raiwind, no one knows you! The speaker you promote who even is he? You seat those who can’t speak and reject those gifted by Allah. I’ll expose your hypocrisy to the world!
