The Kamran Steel Punjab Open Tennis Championship 2025 concluded in spectacular fashion at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore, with Sikandar Hayat clinching the men’s singles crown and senior pair Rashid Malik and Brig (R) Ghazanfar securing the seniors 60+ doubles title.
In the men’s singles final, Sikandar Hayat produced a commanding performance to defeat Haider Ali Rizwan 6-4, 6-0, showcasing both skill and stamina to emerge as the tournament’s top performer in the premier category.
Seasoned campaigner Rashid Malik teamed up with Brig (R) Ghazanfar to dominate the seniors 60+ doubles final, beating the duo of Saleem and Dr Haroon 8-5. The experienced pair displayed excellent coordination and court coverage to secure the title.
In the men’s doubles final, Musa Haroon and Ahmad Amir outclassed Hamza Imran and Sherhan Salim with a convincing 8-2 win, demonstrating excellent teamwork and aggressive net play. In the seniors 45+ doubles final, the pair of Ashar Khan and Hadi Hussain claimed victory with an 8-3 win over Hassan Said and Qadir Nawaz.
In seniors 70+ doubles final, Maj Saeed and Malik Imtiaz beat Khawaja Khurram and Shahid Waqar 9-7.
The championship also featured an array of youth competitions, highlighting the emerging talent in Pakistan’s tennis circuit. In the boys' U-18 final, Omer Jawad dominated Ahad Usman 6-1, 6-3, while Ayan Khan emerged victorious in the boys’ U-14 final with a solid 6-2 win over Zayd Mansoor. In the girls’ U-14 final, Bismel Zia triumphed over Esha Rabi 6-1.
In the younger age brackets, Shahzain Faisal claimed the boys’ U-12 title with a 6-2 win over Mamnoon Bari, and Aiman Rehan secured the girls’ U-12 crown, defeating Shahnoor Umer 6-2. In the U-10 mixed category, Mustafa Zia overcame Daniyal Afzal Malik in a closely contested 6-4 encounter.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Kamran Steel’s Mian Usman or Mian Mohsin, who attended as the chief guest and awarded trophies and shields to the winners and runners-up.
