Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said on Thursday some people thought they could enslave people through the force of gun, but people would not accept slavery; they would respond to a stick with a stick and bullet with a bullet.
Talking to the media outside Adiala Jail after a meeting with the jailed former prime Imran Khan, Gandapur said that Khan had been imprisoned without any justification and his party leaders were not being allowed to meet him in jail.
The KP chief minister said there was no justice in Pakistan after passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment and he did not have any hopes from the judiciary. He said it was clear that justice would not be dispensed in Khan’s case and he would not be released. He said that law would not reign supreme therefore his party reserves the right to protest. He said the PTI would have to choose the option of the protest movement and march on the roads.
Gandapur said that decisions of the people who have occupied Pakistan are wreaking havoc in Pakistan and the country is going down day by day. He said the PTI was not afraid of anyone. He said that bullets were fired at peaceful protesters, but his party would stand up and movement forward. He said that Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi was being kept in jail for the last 14 months.
