JI chief urges govt to secure release of 10 Pakistanis held by Somali pirates

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman on Friday urged the government to take immediate steps to secure the safe return of 10 Pakistani citizens who he said have been held hostage by pirates near Somalia for the past 45 days, 24NewsHD reported on Friday. 

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the Jamaat-e-Islami chief expressed concern over the welfare of the captives and called on authorities to treat the matter with urgency.

According to Hafiz Naeem, the families of the hostages are deeply distressed and remain extremely worried about the safety of their loved ones.
